1. **Frequent Coil Washing:** Wash the outdoor unit condenser coil with fresh water weekly to remove salt deposits.
2. **Apply Anti-Corrosive Sprays:** Treat bare copper joints with high-quality anti-rust sprays (like clear lacquer or polyurethane coatings) to add a protective barrier.
3. **Specify Gold Fin Coils:** When buying a new AC for a coastal area, ensure both the indoor and outdoor coils are made of copper and feature gold fin protection.
